THDI Collections Survey

The Texas Heritage Digitization Initiative (THDI) is a cooperative project to identify, describe, digitize, preserve, and make broadly accessible special collections of history and culture held by libraries, archives, museums, historical societies, and other institutions in Texas.

The Texas State Library and Archives Commission has received a National Leadership Grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services to provide support for THDI and to develop a search interface that will allow users to search for photographs, maps, audio recordings, documents, images, and other digitized resources relating to Texas history and culture. This interface (still in development) is available at www.texasheritageonline.org.

In order to help us add content to our search interface, we are gathering information about collections of Texas historical materials available online. If you know of any collections not already included in our interface, please email thdi@tsl.state.tx.us. Thank you!
